Putney Residence

Putney, NSW · 2022
A landscape framework designed to resolve levels, access and outdoor living around a passive house alteration and addition.
This single-dwelling project supported a major alteration and addition designed by a Sydney-based practice specialising in passive design. The landscape scope focused on resolving site levels around the building footprint while integrating new access, outdoor spaces and planting within a Development Application (DA) approval pathway.
The design introduced a clear separation between pedestrian and vehicular entry, including a new turning bay, and carefully coordinated raised and on-grade garden beds to manage levels and interfaces with the architecture. Outdoor living elements — including a deck, pergola, patio, steps and swimming pool — were integrated with a predominantly native planting palette, anchored by a mature native tree.
